CORAL LAGOON. Malta Island
Coral lagoon It is one of the little secrets of the island of Malta, Coral cave is located north of the island and close to Armier Bay.
This cave is unique in that its roof has fallen and is presented as a large hole with rounded walls which descends vertically to a natural pool of crystal clear water.
Coral cave to enter have different options, for the most daring people can jump directly into the pool about performing a jump 7 meters ship wreck. For those who like me prefer something more relaxed we can reach Coral cave swimming from land on an expedition of some minutes, canoe or boat.
I met personally Coral cave diving, It is a dive site that perform several dive centers on the island, also a good place for snorkeling and for practicing psiobloc in good calcareous rock and overhanging.
How to get to Coral Lagoon?
By car: We need to get to Mellieha Bay and continue towards Cirkewwa (output ferries for Joy and Cumin). Mellieha Bay past the road begins to climb, at the top of a roundabout where we have to go around and take the road that leads to Armier. This road we go until we find the campsite signaling Malta. We leave the car in the bay and from there we will walk east to find the hole Coral Lagoon.

By bus: Number 47 and is every hour.
From Armier you have to walk past the tower Arhax and the bay where the campsite is located, once the cove where is the camping (Coral Beach and just left us back a little bit to find the big hole Coral Lagoon.
Where to eat.
Armier beach have several restaurants with good food and good prices. It's a Maltese area where it has not yet reached mass tourism found in Sliema or St. Julian's and where we can still enjoy the cuisine and the day, served by friendly and nice people.
If you want visit Coral Lagoon in a manner comfortable and quiet we suggest you come with us Boat. We drop anchor near the entrance and you can swim a few meters.
